About Chef Matt

Chef Matthew Stogryn is a private chef who has over 30 years of experience making guests smile. After learning the ropes in restaurants around Boston, he spent time in the Navy cooking on an aircraft carrier for nearly 6,000 people — four times a day. He then returned to dry land and crisscrossed the country, working the line and helping open fine-dining establishments like 1826 Collins in Miami; Tin Box, Noché and local favorite Lord Hobo in Puerto Rico. In his downtime, Matt realized that his true calling was working one-on-one with clients, and he has helped them execute hundreds upon hundreds of private events featuring his creative, seasonal and progressive menus. 

Chef Matt loves nothing more than seeing his guests enjoy themselves (and his food). He’ll walk you through what goes into each dish, and what makes it special — and maybe even throw in an anecdote from his storied career while he’s at it. He strives to make each guest’s experience enjoyable and personal; working to craft menus that suit their tastes — and leaving a lasting impression with everyone at the table.
